OUR STORY / THE WORK BEHIND THE PLATFORM

From measuring movement to making it useful in care.

MedMeters is an emerging clinical measurement platform from Keepriot, an independent computer vision venture lab based in Paphos, Cyprus. Its roots are in hands-on projects involving 3D motion reconstruction, clinician-reviewed video, wearable sensors and remote body capture.

Different problems.
One technical foundation.

These are distinct projects developed within Keepriot or earlier initiatives. They inform MedMeters' approach; they are not presented as evidence that MedMeters itself is clinically validated.

ScanChild

Short home videos of infant spontaneous movement, a structured intake flow and a prototype timeline-annotation tool for specialist review. The research cohort includes 100 videos from 45 infants; clinical interpretation remains with qualified specialists.

What carries over: remote video intake · movement annotations · human-in-the-loop verification

Fight.Vision

Multi-camera 3D reconstruction of sports footage, with an approximately 65,000-line Python codebase covering camera calibration, body fitting and uncertainty checks. Its engineering addresses a hard problem shared with clinical CV: extracting meaningful movement from imperfect cameras.

What carries over: camera geometry · 3D reconstruction · reliability and uncertainty assessment

ScanCustom

Remote body-shape capture for individually manufactured seating inserts. Smartphone video is used in a workflow linking physical capture, 3D reconstruction and CNC manufacturing — first developed for supportive seating needs.

What carries over: guided capture · 3D measurement · repeatable physical-world workflows

RepCoach / CoachPad

Movement-feedback concepts exploring a patient’s own clinically set baseline, delayed side-by-side video replay and brief pain or movement-confidence ratings. The research question is whether objective progress can be made easier to see and understand.

What carries over: personal baselines · clinic-to-home comparison · clinician-configured feedback

HISTORY / A LONGER ARC

How the idea evolved.

MedMeters did not emerge from a single model or test. It combines several years of experimentation with sensing, clinical imaging, video analysis, and useful products outside the lab.

2013–2016

Wearable medical sensing

Cardiwear explored ECG capture through a wearable garment and remote review.

2018–2021

Medical imaging software

Medsnimki developed a digital imaging platform for patients and clinics.

2020–2022

Motion sensors and 3D

Movekit IMU firmware and the first Fight.Vision motion-reconstruction work.

2022

Keepriot & ScanChild

The Cyprus venture lab begins applied CV development alongside infant movement research tooling.

2024

3D capture & visual feedback

ScanCustom and RepCoach/CoachPad bring measurement into real-world and clinician-guided workflows.

2026

MedMeters takes shape

A proposed common layer for standardized clinical assessments, repeat measurements and EHR-ready results.

TEAM / LEADERSHIP & CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Built on engineering.
Informed by clinicians.

Our foundations combine hands-on applied CV engineering with experience in specialist clinical-video workflows.

FOUNDER · KEEPRIOT / MEDMETERS

Mikhail (Mike) Shagiev

Cyprus-based technology founder working on computer vision, 3D reconstruction, motion measurement and sensor systems. Founder of Keepriot Ltd., with earlier experience in medical imaging, motion-sensing hardware and technology businesses.

Executive MBA with distinction from Grenoble École de Management; five years of radiophysics coursework. Earlier Cisco and Intel roles were in marketing and commercialization, not engineering.

CLINICAL LEAD · SCANCHILD PROJECT

Ekaterina Polyakova

Pediatric physiotherapist and certified General Movements Assessment specialist, leading clinical interpretation and expert review in the separate ScanChild project.

Her work illustrates the clinical-review principle informing our approach: algorithms should prepare measurements and flag uncertainty; qualified specialists retain responsibility for interpretation.

Clinical collaborator on ScanChild. This does not imply a formal clinical role in MedMeters.

MedMeters is a new product concept, not a clinically cleared medical device. No academic affiliation, approved research collaboration or independent validation is implied by the team’s earlier work.

THE NEXT QUESTION

From movement data to meaningful clinical context.

Related rehabilitation research proposals explore whether the same movement changes between the clinic and home, and how visual comparison with a patient’s own baseline might affect confidence in movement. These are hypotheses, not established findings.

Existing technical building blocks

What previous projects have produced

  • Camera calibration and multi-view motion reconstruction components.
  • Movement-video intake and temporal annotation interfaces.
  • Remote 3D capture for tangible custom manufacturing workflows.
  • Clinical specialist review methods from ScanChild.
MedMeters product roadmap

What still needs to be built and validated

  • Clinical accuracy studies for each standardized test and camera setup.
  • Protocol-specific privacy controls and de-identification effectiveness.
  • Longitudinal comparability across devices, settings and repeated visits.
  • Production-grade security, compliance and EHR integrations.
